At a time when research budgets are becoming stretched as a result of rising costs across the life sciences industry, AlphaThera is reducing prices for bulk orders of its oYo-Link® antibody conjugation reagents.
The cost of key research inputs has risen substantially in recent years. US producer price data show that prices for biological products and analytical laboratory instruments have increased by approximately 26% since 2020, while basic organic chemical prices have risen by around 35%.[1–3] These increases come as researchers face growing pressure to maximize increasingly constrained research budgets.[4]
Against this backdrop, AlphaThera is reducing prices on larger-volume orders by 15-50%, depending on scale of order. The new pricing has been made possible by continued improvements to AlphaThera’s manufacturing and operational processes, combined with growing interest in, and adoption of, its site-specific antibody conjugation technology. As demand has increased, AlphaThera has been able to achieve greater efficiencies at scale and is passing these savings directly on to researchers through lower prices on larger-volume orders.
